They closed the Sonny's BBQ's around the Charlotte area in NC.  I really liked them and they were decent value for the money.  Not sure what happened or why, but they seem to have faded away.

With all of my experience at the PPIHC with Honda/Acura corporate, I am doing something similar to OP's article. Things like this need to be highlighted for the value of what the person is attempting, and how they/we are funding the whole endeavor.

Legit came close to a panic attack while slowly driving up Pike's Peak in a Prius. 

Something about not seeing the horizon behind the road just tweaks my lizard brain right out. 

Massive respect for these guys.
