Leaving at 0dark30 for a ~13 hour run from NY to Savannah and then Hilton Head for a long-awaited (and much needed) vacation. I'm hoping for the best on a Sunday morning, but the combination of I-95 and two days before Christmas is not filling me with confidence. I also could not help but notice that the exit for Savannah is the exact exit where, years ago, my Saab 9-5 consumed its turbo in a spectacular Spy Hunter-style smokescreen around 1am on the way to Jacksonville. I'm really, really hoping for an entirely uneventful drive. Fingers crossed....

Good luck, the I-95 corridor has to be one of the worst places to travel in the world. Hope there is minimal traffic and no drama. Enjoy vacation.
Heading in the opposite direction tomorrow.. To far north VT, 2 miles from Canada. Minimal interstate. Report of some snow. I got my Blizzaks on.
We came down 95 yesterday and ended up diverting off to 17 because of the typical traffic jam on SC right before GA.

Arrived in one piece. 14 hours door to door with stops. Preemptively avoided a couple of backups, so no real delays. Road was running around 80-85 the whole way. My snow tires became progressively less happy as it warmed up, but I didn't dare take them off for fear of having to drive home in a blizzard next week. But that's to worry about next week. Thanks for the good wishes, folks.
