Coupe GTs aren't AWD.

If it's an ur-q then that is about 10-20% of the car's value, but if it's a CGT then that's pretty good if it's in any kind of decent shape.

CGTs don't have the box flares or 5 bolt wheels (or the AWD or the turbo) of an ur-q.

Think of them as a 120% scale Scirocco. Cool cars.

I bought one new in 86 - quattro, no box flares. Fond memories up until I killed it.

I konw they sold non urQuattro, but still AWD CGT's in Europe, I assumed they did here too.

mine had quattro badges on the grill/rear - any evidence it is one (dash/console pic of diff lock button is a quick giveaway).

that's not AWD. CGT's are still cool cars. I had an 83 and wish i still had it

Interesting that the seller thinks it's AWD. Sort of like when they polled BMW 1-series owners and 80% thought their car was FWD.

I had one of these as my first car (it was a 1984). I flogged on it merciously and wish i still could. They are a fun little car.

even to the non audi owner a quick glance underneath the rear will tell you everything you need to know. iirc, they never offered quattro coupe gt's in the states. just a handfull of urq's which this car is not.

but you never know, a quattro converted coupe has popped up for sale here in colorado a few seperate times, I bought a downpipe from the current owner. someone welded in a sectioned 4kq floorpan and used it as a rally car for years. still looks like a coupe GT on the outside

Just to clear this up, Audi absolutely did sell quattro coupes in the states - turns out they're more rare than the turbos - I bought one new. If this is one - it should have quattro badging, be a 5 spd, have side ring decals, differential locking button on the console, digital dash/console in 86 (they didn't work new, doubt it will work now, don't trust the mileage) and a bunch of extra hardware under the car for those 105 ponies to carry around.

That car looks great regardless.

Can you believe people do not know if a car is awd or not after many texts and talking to him on the phone and he kept telling me yes it is for sure awd. I get it all set up for yamaha to go look at and i get a text sorry it is only fwd

Half the drivetrain = half the price Offer 750 and still rally it.

In reply to cutter67: Probably because in the minds of most non car people Audi=quatro. Lots of people think that all Subarus are awd, and all SAABs are turbo too.

I've never seen an awd coupe that wasn't a UrQuattro. To my knowledge they were never imported to the US. A few may have come in as Grey market imports...

Oh I believe it can't tell you how many Sidekick's I call about that turn out to be 2WD.....
