OK, I don't care what kind of home, just make it go away.
My intent was to put the drivetrain in a Cortina but the 'Tina is so nice I would get knucked up by purists.
1988 325 four door stick. The PO removed a lot of chachkas, tail lights, the seats are white and funky; but the engine is fine. The PO bought it just for the wheels so I traveled to New Hampshire for a set of 4 X 100s with 200 miles on the tires. My investment is travel time, gas money and frustration.
Located near Albany, NY.
As I have no title it is a Locost donor.
Dan
I really want it, just need figure out w way to get it.
You're too far away or I'd take it. Would be good for next years Challenge in some way.

Methinks for a free car delivery is a bit too much to ask.

hmmmm...........
Free certainly helps the budget.
where are those pics at Dan?
Interested. Checking on a available tow vehicle now. If only you had a title, I would ride a bus up and use the temporary tag that VA will sell for $5. Oh well.
what kind of shape are we talking here? Put it this way... If you were me (or a reasonable facsimile) would you be willing to pay for the gas to/from Scranton, PA to trailer this car home, cut it up to build a race car I don't need and be happy about it?
Would I want to buy you beer the following weekend or choke you for giving me a free car?

Is the transmission still in it? Either way, I need to see what it will take to come get it. Anyone with an empty trailer heading west from New York?
gimme a few to do the math on fuel and effort... and convince 2 other idiots that this is our lemons car and I'll get right back to you by tonite.

Yes.
I need to see how this turns out.
Corey, transmission's in it ans working, though the shift know is a ski pole thingie. The PO was on the US ski team.
Dan
Everytime you post something like this I have to mapquest it to see how far away you are. Then I remember it's a 35 hour round trip and decide it's a no go.
OK, I'm out. Sorry... it seemed like a no-brainer to me.
The other two idiots involved believe that an E30 is too common at Lemons regardless of my insistence that there is a good reason for that and that I already have tons of spares to throw at it. I fully expect that whatever obscure nonsense we end up with will DNF because of some part made of unobtainium.

NOBODY is claiming this car? SERIOUSLY?

Seriously.
I don't have the Title so the local scrapper won't take it and I hate to burn up all those Saw-Zall blades doing a Tony Soprano on it.
Oy!
In reply to 914Driver:
Just saw this. I'm up in Vermont, I'm sure I can find someone. Give me a day.
I would love the parts off of it to swap mine from an auto, but I have no way of getting it here (western MD)

Is there any reason you can see that would prevent one who was willing to pay for the lost title application from having it granted?
