I have an '88 Accord coupe for sale. Off the top of my head, it needs a coil, a muffler, and a battery. Would make a good LeMons or Challenge car. The body is crap, but it's there. The 2 front tires were newish when parked, but the rears need to be replaced. The interior is best suited for the landfill. There are a few "performance" add-ons from the previous owner.
I have the rebuilt title in hand, signed but not dated, from the previous owner. My intention was to use the car as parts for my car, but I gave up on that car as well.
I also have a large assortment of parts. For $100 more, you can take another parts car that I have. Ran when parked, but barely.
PM me for answers to any questions.
I'm in Palatka, FL. Bring a trailer.
There are a few things that I forgot to add to the above post. The coupe is a fuel injected 5 speed. The head was rebuilt shortly before parking by a Honda tech.
I'm also open for offers. My storage goes back and forth about me keeping cars there, so I just want to get rid of what's still good before it gets sent to the crusher without my consent.
What do you mean by the body is crap? Is there a lot of rust or just dents and dings? And also what are "performance" mods?
There's some crash damage behind the driver's door that was half repaired - poorly, there's some light rust, the trunk lide was drilled out for a spoiler that the PO removed, the driver's side taillight is from a sedan, so it doesn't fit well, the bumper is the wrong color, the driver's window doesn't stay up because the regulator is missing the motor. One of my friends wants the car for rallycross, but hasn't been able to come up with the money over the last 6 months. Since I might be losing storage soon, I told him I had to sell it, so here it is.
With a battery fresh fuel, and a coil, I'd trust the car to drive home. If I can find a spare coil, one will be included.
Mods include ebay coilovers on stock strurts in the front and Tokico Blues on the rear. There's a cheap cone air filter included, but I'd consider replacing it with a good filter. There's a set of sunpro gauges in the console. I can't recall much else, but that's what I remember.
