Well, since Tim offered such a smokin' (heh) deal on his white GM whale, I will try to pay back the GRMers here with mine.
1995 Buick Roadmaster, LT1 white with leather, 2" receiver tow hitch (Can't remember, but pretty sure it is a Class V), trailer brakes and third row seat.
I bought this car in December 2011 for our Vacation Road Trip car, as we always get something funky and huge. (The VRTC the year before was a '73 Chrysler Imperial) But honestly, we never bonded. Maybe it was the time the Opti Spark flaked out going down to St Louis and we had to ride home on the Motorcycle we were going to trailer back. (With an untested 1982 XV920 and hardly any gear for one of us and a non working headlight. in the dark) Maybe it was the time it acted up and made my lovely wife trudge 5 miles home. In the snow. Of course, it happily started right up when I drove back out there to drag it home. Oh, and the time the A/C, which worked incredibly well up until that point, decided to smoke the compressor at our first fuel stop on our vacation in 103 degree heat. Well, anyway, my wife has a name for this car. And I can't post it here.
All that said, it has taken us many places without actually breaking down. Austin TX and back last Thanksgiving weekend, many trips to Michigan, and around lake Michigan itself towing a Jeep Wrangler for that brutally hot, sweaty vacation.
The Opti was supposedly replaced just before I bought it. And I had it replaced again in St Louis. The A/C compressor has been replaced, but not hooked up nor charged. It has some rust. And some oil leaks. (I think this is what is killing the Optis, but I dunno) The driver's window works fine, but the rear ones need the guides replaced, (I should have guides for all the windows, as I bought them all when I fixed the driver's window) The Passenger front window doesn't respond at all. It is reading 110 or 120 K miles, I think. Maybe less. Powerful, and shifts and rides wonderfully. Will easily knock down 22 MpG on the highway if you stay at the speed limit (without drafting) It just hates us.
Sooo, I'm offering it here for the same price as I got Tim's Suburban for: $900. (It has been on CL for $1350, but Good God, there are more flakes there than in my cereal bowl) Bottom line, no haggle. Probably scared everyone away by now, but I'd rather have full disclosure.
I have been driving it until I picked up the Suburban, but it really serves no purpose now, other than to piss me off, and remind me how much money I have thrown at it.
