Definitely still kicking around in my head, too. Still waiting to find out exactly what's up w/ my dog or I would probably have picked it up. Waiting to find out why his blood sugar is low and whether it's crystal sludge or a growth outside his bladder, so funds are on hold. 
Bluej, hope everything works out OK with your dog! I have one who's old enough to be on cruise control right now, he's just too old to do much with.
Mark, if bluej hasn't grabbed it in the next week or two, I'll be talking to you. I've made some negotiation progress lately.
I'll keep your dog in my thoughts. Our old girl is now 11 and, knock wood, is doing great considering her age. They really become an integral part of the family.
