The cost of the swap includes 2 new axles, mount, cables, flywheel and clutch. You can see how this gets expensive. Plus its at least a day's work.
I've seen Focus SVT transmissions for $250-300. Yes, the rest does tend to add up. Just seems like a shame to walk away from cheap MINIs.
Cheap until you fix it. It still may be cheap but, it needs a window regulator, a/c doesn't work, coolant tank was low, stitching is coming apart on one seat, headliner is beginning to droop, etc. And since you can't drive it, who knows what else may be needed. Not trying to dis it. Just being straight about its condition.
Oh and on the swap I forgot to include starter, slave cylinder and clutch hose.

Sent messages to both. I'd be more inclined to fix the Harrisburg car as it's body may be cleaner and, well, it's an s.

Only thing he ever did to the cooling system was to flush it. He had installed an underdrive pully system.
I see there are a few of these in Chicago craigslist with toasty auto trannys.
