Chrysler 318 "A" engine. Polyspherical head design. The later wedge headed 318s were called the "LA" Series. 

The car is unibody, so frame swapping would prove to be quite... problematic.

This Crosley comes with a running engine, but you probably need more than 27 hp. Perfect car for a Miata 1.6L transplant. Or literally any other RWD engine. Anything will feel fast in this thing!

Bought off CL 3 weeks ago. The tires/wheels did not come with it...
