Looks legit to me. Merc wagons are dirty-cheap. 

At the tow lot auction. Saturn wagon but disappointing shiny chunky oil. There is another twin cam SL that could be a donor.

Today, I bring you not one but three wagons that are all in Atlanta, all with a $1000 asking price each, and all seem to have owner-inflicted damage and need significant work but all have the potential to be something interesting at the Challenge. And I don't have time to deal with any of these myself, but somebody here may have time for it.

Up first, we have a 2005 Volvo V50, the victim of a failed attempt at off-roading and in need of a transmission.

Second, we have a 2003 Passat 1.8 Turbo, which is probably the victim of a failed attempt to crank up the boost a bit too far. On the upside, it's got a manual transmission.

Lastly, we have a 2002 Subaru Outback, the victim of ignoring a radiator leak for several months. Seller thinks it just needs a radiator and an O2 sensor, but my money would be on needing head gaskets too.
