The same can be said in a Volvo 245
Ok, somebody has to comment on this one...
A 30 year old Volvo with a 5 spd with bumper stickers that say "I'd rather be driving my tractor ", "Midwives help people out", an Imperial storm trooper, AND NNK (No Name Killers).
I'm not sure if those are wildly mixed metaphors, or completely logical.
In reply to Stefan :
I think there's some disagreement about whether the Protege5 would be listed as a "5 door hatchback" vs. "wagon" from the orignal "what's the special class thread"

It does fit but you have to fold the back seat down and either need the bench seat far forward or prop the plywood up in something - with the seat in a comfy position you're a few inches short of being able to close the tailgate. I was able to fit 12' vinyl siding pieces in mine with the hatch closed by putting them on the passenger side up to the windshield. These cars are very big.

I totally misread that. I thought we were talking about the Volvo 240.
Duh.

Yes it did fit, but I had to slide the front seats up quite a bit because I'm tall. Not uncomfortable for a short drive though.
Also, I would not recommend a Roadmaster for the Challenge if youwant to be competitive at all. It was like 5th slowest in autocross (lowered, stiffer shocks, and rear sway) and ran 15.4s in the 1/4. Good enough for solid mid-pack. It weighed 4,400 lbs. If you didn't care about selling it afterward, you could probably get it down to 4,000 even.

Are 2wd Suburbans in or out? Here's mine and I'd take 50% of the original asking price if you'll just come drive it away.

This guy lives down the road from me. The rust is a paint with metal (flakes?) in it that is painted over the factory paint and then rusts.
