Cheap old Subaru GL with incomplete EJ swap. The ad on bookface market shows the engine is already in stalled.

No link? The level of money pit there is just staggering. Might be a worthwhile part out though.

Some guy on another forum I'm on bought one of these in better shape than this that mostly worked for $25 (that's not a typo, twenty five dollars) and it was still too much to pay for one. They are black holes for money.

Looks good, just wants some mechanical attention. NMNA
There is a BEIGE CAMRY WAGON listed for $2500 near me (Charlotte NC). The note on the windshield says one owner.
Anybody need that sort of challenge?

This came up on this week's local Insurance auction. 2004 Suzuki Aerio wagon, 5 speed manual. I did not realize these came with a 2.3L/155 hp engine. I researched the weight and that comes back at 2,698. The internet calculators tell me that should turn a 14.7 in the 1/4 mile (pretty good.) However, the one and only piece of info I coulds find tells me the Aerio does 15.9 in the quarter (not that impresive)
Considering I am attracted to the odd, I took some time to try to find out how much for a new bumper cover. Car-parts turned up no options on this side of the Mississippi River. Ebay doesn't even have cheap reproduction units. All I could find was an aftermarket, body kit, restyled front end and that is $292 with shipping included from CA. I'll look at it tomorrow. Maybe ill get lucky and the parts will be in the trunk. From there, some fiberglass work. I really wonder if this was "totaled" because they could no source a bumper cover.
Good: 4x100 wheels
Bad: 4" taller than wide so 2" spacer would be needed on each side (and maybe some fender flares.)
In reply to John Welsh :
ebay has lowering springs for $180
and I've got some 15x7 rpf1's in 4x100 that should see a challenge
In Kansas City there is this little gem, $1000 OBO
With the transmission acting up you might get it at the right price.

I had one of these for a winterbeater a couple years back, no way on earth that ran 14 anything, it was perky feeling but I bet it ran 16s. Mine was awd though.
Revised:
1993 BMW E34 Wagon. 158,000 miles. Paint and interior are tired. I'm gonna try and patch up some of the interior and scrape the crappy tint off. Mechanically, it's great. Has the M50 with VANOS, new radiator, brakes are good, dampers recently replaced.
Asking $1,500. Title in hand. Located in Arlington/Plano Texas
Went to look at a car yesterday, if the buyer bails I'm buying it.
(unfortunately he's rather excited)
Sweet but my target would be the previous gen with faux wood. That would be really sweet (especially in a dark color like blue or black) Good luck 914driver!!!!!
Challenge Starter Kit in Atlanta asking $1,400
