those old amc's were wildly popular in my neck of WV. I've never driven one but always viewed them with curiousity.

I drove my Mighty Eagle to work today. It is amazing how cheap they are. I think they are one of the best, most usable machines out there that are basically free. Because AMC was so strapped for cash, they bought whatever OEM part was least expensive and made it fit. This is great now, as nearly all the parts can be found cheaply at any autoparts joint.

I heard of a guy in PA recently that was selling 8 of them for $1,500! (total price)

You can buy the nicest Eagle in the world for under $4K. Pretty reasonable for a cool orphan with an interesting history.
