Pretty rusty, partially cut up, and taking up space. Does have a lot of new sheet metal and some shoddy welding. Mostly sandblasted. It's taking up space and needs to be gone.

I'll throw in the doors and trunk lid (clean), fenders (decent) and hood (little rusty) for another $150.

I got a title with the car but the VIN plaque is mia, don't know if the PO removed it and it's in one of the bolt bins that came with the car or it just corroded away.

Pictures here, not the latest but pretty close: http://filebox.vt.edu/users/cslynn/spritepub/

Prices negotiable.... make offers on other parts if you wish. Will sell the entire package of body, panels, engine/drivetrain, all other parts I have for $500.

Located in Stafford, VA

No.

If I weren't 500 miles away -- I just google-mapped it -- I'd be seriously interested.

I have a dream of installing a Mazda B3 1.3L with a Miata transmission in one of these.

I did one of those. Mine had virtually no rust, but the rear fenders had been savaged with tin ships and a sledgehammer to make "tire clearance" for the 10" wide slicks that were on it.

I had well over 2000 hours in the car when it was finished. It was good therapy, good practice, and I had the time at the time. They're wonderful cars, and have excellent parts availability, support, community, blah blah blah.

Someone buy this! They look like this when they're done:

Thanks. Beautiful car motormoron! That's the direction I had intended to go with mine.

I would, but unfortunately already did. I wish I hadn't as they were very nice pieces, but I decided to let them go to another GRM'er who had more of a need for them.

Same here. I want it for parts for mine, but I'm in TN and it's just too far.

Yeah, same for me. Too far. I have a it's sister - 63 MG Midget I'm getting ready to start on and more parts would be nice but alas I'm in north Alabama and that's a little too far for me to go.

How much for the transmission and driveshaft shipped to 35004?

Jwd, if you and wcKelly3 can get together and work out a deal I'll go fetch this Midget and deliver it to your door for $100 in gas $ if you buy mine too. The two of you can then divvy up the parts as you see fit.

That's assuming the rally tires fit my Opel, of course...

You're not helping. I still haven't decided for sure if I want to build this project.

It seriously would be a fun little car. I wanted to go the vintage racing/speedster route with it. The repairs that have been done so far aren't too bad, just need to be finished/cleaned up a little and the pass side will be good to go. Drivers side still needs a bit more work, as does the rear.

I'll work on updated pics. It's been pushed to the back of the garage to make way for more of Pop's mustang parts for a 68 fastback!

PM jhaas if you are interested. He may have trailer space going from VA to TN in the next couple of weeks and may be willing to haul for you.

Roger that. Just realized the link was to my VT account which is now defunct so I'll try and get some up on flickr asap. It pretty much looks exactly the same, it's just now buried under even MORE junk!
