The very idea of that black primer hunk of junk displaying the name "El Cid" is disgusting, maybe "El Cid Wannabe" would be somewhat appropriate if it did not turn the stomach of the original owner and driver as well the race fans that watched the original car in action almost 50 years ago.
El Cid was a National Champion and Record Holder in 3 classes, and now deservedly rests in the NHRA Museum, that plastic black garbage can belongs molded as filler in the South end of a Corvette going North.
