Was it a Touring Wagon (Turbo)?
Looked like a clean, rust free base or L model wagon. Low miles if I remember correctly.
Relatively low miles, clean car...but not really very sporty and $1500 is pretty steep for an old Legacy IMO. I like my Subies with an Impreza flavor rather than Lame-gacy. 
If it were a turbo, then it would have been a good deal.
