944/LS1 stalled project for sale. I has sadness

I think I found the problem; new PM sent.

Some folks have asked for pics of the rust. There really isn't any. The chassis is very clean.

There's plenty more where that came from.

This car is haunted by a ghost.  One of the scary ones, not a friendly one.  Dr Boost has rubbed his Cool Ranch Doritos covered fingers all over the interior.  Plus it smells like the refried beans from El Maguey in Pontiac, Mi.  I swear!*

*I may be trying to sabotage the sale because I think he should keep it.

I am so interested in getting an update on this sale that I stopped lurking and created an account to post this.

This car is in my head. I have learned more about 944s and LS swaps in the last couple of days than I ever anticipated. I don't have the time, space, or experience to pick this up, but I want to know that somebody is going to do it justice so that I might be able to get the possibility out of my head!

I know that you don't want to part it out. I need a Na transmission. I would be willing to remove it and install the turbo transmission If we can work something out. I live in Grand Blanc and work in Flint

I'll run that by the buyer. I'll be working on it Sunday, would that work?

I know someone selling a 944S transaxle, if the swap deal falls through.

He's got a number of parts he's trying to sell as a lot for $600:

- 1987 944S 5-speed transmission with open diff
- Late style transmission crossmember with polyurethane mount done by Stefan
- Late 944 plastic gas tank
- Nice tan and brown early door cards
- 924 front valance and two plastic grilles
- Stock front springs
- Complete headlight assembly for NA cars including hardware, covers, and motor
- Driver’s window motor

And there’s some smaller stuff. For $600 or comparable trade

I pointed him to this thread from Facebook, so perhaps you two can connect and put a deal together.

I have not heard from the buyer yet. I have made several calls to mechanic friends, I am waiting to hear back from them. I hope we can work this out.
