Remember when the rules were 1 page and attendance started going back up? This is getting too stupid and complicated again because there's 2 people in every group that mess it up for everyone
Yeah, I don't see an easy answer here outside of disallowing all trades or something similar. And I'm not willing to change any text of the rules before the event, my function here is to interpret, not to expand/change/add.
Maybe we add a rule next year that says "only car parts can be trade items" or something like that?
In reply to Tom Suddard :
i'd lobby for zero rule changes for 2021 since covid is keeping a lot of people away this year.
I don't think "what" is trade eligible needs to be defined so much as a clarification of how things are considered to be "related."
I agree that now is not the time for any rule changes for this years event.

I'd agree to this also. There's only like one or two clean up things but if they stay the same I think it would be fairest for all.

I agree. As an outsider just starting to learn, I can see “intent” being a bit hard to police against, but intent and related seem to be things had to define, but easy to recognize. If (IF!) people keep in mind havein fun is the main goal, seems to me to be doable.
