I was shocked it didn't go for more. We shall soon see if there's a bad reason. Talked to the owner and his son had been using it and it's at FT Benning where he's a ranger. Seller has good feedback and title so all should be good Saturday for pickup. Now I have to figure out how to pull this up a uhaul tow dolly with no power.

I assume the precat ate the engine will update in the projects section as we go forward......1zz or 2zz that is the question.

I know where a 2zz engine is at here in PA. It's in a super cheap pick an pull lot in a 2003 corolla. No idea of miles or if it runs.

That was a fun drive.....next time I should do the math to see what it would cost to have uship take care of business. I figure I've got 400 into the trip (gas, hotel, trailer) plus my time.

MR2 is now in my driveway. Body is in excellent shape (just needs cleaned up). Rotors are rusted, tires are OK (hold air and not cracked to hell).

Engine was run low on oil (sounds like consumption due to precat failure). Non mechanical owners says rod thru block (his dad says bad rod).....I didn't see a hole but didn't look hard.

Looks like the Recaro seats are actually out of an Isuzu Vehicross and are very nice.

Will clean her up tomorrow and start a project thread.....

2zz is a no brainer, think of it as a $20k discount on even a beat elise! Plus you can buy mine!
