No affiliation, etc. Its out of budget by 500, but who knows.

ALLTRAC.
I can go look at it for anyone interested.
Unless it's a minty shell, it's not worth the $2500 i don't think.
Yeah... I've seen running examples of the next gen going for less. He'd probably take a much lower offer though

Whoa.... let me know next time you find that.
I've considered going out to this guy to offer him $2k, myself.... with fairly minimal modification i could probably stuff a 2.2 litre block on that thing, and lose about 1000rpms off the top, but it'll spool way faster and have more power overall. And i have a spare 2.2 block.

Or you COULD make it into something like your little avatar pic there... You know you want to.

I COULD.... it would take me awhile to figure out how the hell to shoehorn a Lexus 4.0 litre V8 in there, and THEN twin turbo it... but it could be fun. It would definitely need box flares at that point.
The sick part is, is that the guy who did the car in my avatar... he cut up a REAL ST185RC GT4 Group A to do that. Ugh.
I found a pic of the engine bay a while ago; it's an absolutely beautiful install. Lots of room to spare. Didn't he keep the stock rear end in that thing?
If I'd found a suitable ST185 shell before I bought the Starion, I'd probably have tried to make my own.

Yeah he's got the stock rear end. The car as a whole is beautiful....

That's the problem.... You'd lose money on it. At the least, you'll have $3000 in it, plus time and gas money.
You MIGHT get $3500 out of it if someone on AllTrac.net REALLY wants a clean ST165. But in today's economy, it'll never happen. His asking price is what i've been seeing clean RUNNING St165s go for.
