So, i have a shopping list of stuff i know ill need for my next build.

Small block chevy bellhousing and/or manual transmission. Three, four, or five speed.

Legit fuel cell. Like bladder and can style, preferably with a built in fuel pump.

Smith's gauges from mg's

Nascar style boom tubes

Race car style fised steering column

Aftermarket (wildwood, tilton, etc) clutch master and push style slave.

Cheaper than cheap is good. Don't have any recoup to speak of on this build, and have a pretty grandiose plan of challenge, and the ultimate track car challenge in the exact same form.

And before you ask the car, its kinda secret until i pick it up.

Id we can deliver to the challenge ill try to relay it back, or within a half day drive of Charlotte nc is preferred.

I have a bin of disorganized race style master cylinders for brake/clutch stuff, any idea what size you need?

I bet some standard smaller diameter exhaust tubing split down the middle, some flat sheet metal, and some creativity with a welder could make you a set of homebrew boom tubes.

Good question. I honestly dont really know what size i need. .75 maybe? Guess i need to do some homework before deciding that vs guessing and throwing money away.

Edit: turns out .75 was right!

I wonder if it would be possible to ovalize some larger diameter tubing in a controlled manner?

Maybe use a 2x8 and a couple 2x3 nailed together to make to make a 1-1/2" deep open top box, place a piece of 3" diameter pipe in the box, place another 2x8 on top.

Drive over it lengthwise with the front tire of the truck to flatten to tube into an oval?

Michael, Keep in mind the current Cup cars are getting retired in a few weeks. The teams will be selling off lots of parts that don't transfer to the new car. This includes basically everything except the fire bottles and seats. Might be time to start planning a shopping trip to the resellers in Mooresville.

Sign me up for an old nascar chassis. Doesn't have to be a good one, I'll take a start-and-park special. devil

I probably have a concentric slave cylinder or two in my parts bin. I bought a few different ones when I was seeting up the CD009 in my truck.  I have an old wilwood pedal box somewhere too that came off an old SAE Baja car.  I owe you some junk now.
