I'm going to try to get this started- I've got lots more than I can list here.

I am not bringing a car this year to the Challenge, but I'll be there volunteering. I am willing to bring ANY of this to the Challenge (on a first come, first serve basis 'till my trailer is full), if you deal with me by Oct. 2nd. I'll be loading my trailer the weekend of the 3rd.

First up (I'd REALLY like to move these):

-This is a rolling chassis from an air-cooled VW. It has been cut down by 25", so it would make an interesting start to a crazy dune buggy, mod buggy, or chassis for a micro car. I'll include the trans. $100

-Cadillac Northstar from a complete running SLS (Challenge entrant in 2005- ran 14's in full Caddy street trim style). It's the 300 hp version. I've got the ENTIRE front end from hub-hub (motor, trans, subframe, brakes, rack, etc.). I've also got the computer, steering column, wiring harness, etc. Ready for your SHO style hot hatch. $300 for all of it.

-COMPLETE hub-hub rear IRS from an '86 Supra, including the diff, brakes, suspension, everything. $200

Next: some good stuff:

-1992 Geo Metro. 190K. Runs great. 40+ mpg. A few extras (wheels, seats, stereo, rear spoiler). $2000

-1988 Mazda 323 GTX. This car is complete, but not shifting. It's got new shifter cables which need aligning, and the struts need adjusting/ aligining. Needs two weekends worth of TLC to get it running again. Its got a Firendza aluminum flywheel, new performance clutch, poly bushings, strut tower reinforcing. It's rust free, but it once had an accident which left the driver's door pillar damaged (in a spot that can't be seen). Excellent driver candidate, not perfect for a restoration. $2000

  • This truck is not Challenge priced, but I'm mixing it in here (with my apologies). Runs excellent would make a fabulous track rig, construction vehicle, etc. That custom body normally puts these things in the $20K range. I need $9500

OK, back to what this forum is for:

  • Camper in very good condition. Paint is faded, but everything works. New tires. Furnace recently rebuilt (but needs to be installed). $2000

  • Excellent condition Yugo shell. Rust free, dent free. One of the nicest I've seen. Buy it with the N* and build a nightmare! $200

  • This might be for sale...I've got to talk with the owner:

  • 1988 Justy. Runs- needs carb work. $400

-Vintage Abarth Cromadoras for Fiat or Yugo- great condition, except 1 with a repairable chip. $500

Some parts:

-I've got a lot of Yugo/ Fiat stuff.

-These are stock Miata wheels which have been nicely powder coated. They are jet black, with rainbow flecks in them. They give a kind of macho look with a punch to a Miata, but my wife would prefer stock silver ones. I'll trade them for a decent set:

-Ford fuel injected V-8 intake $50:

-ATV A-arms (fun for a small car project) $30:

-Brand new (still in box) Tanabee GF210 Spec 2 Springs for a '04- WRX/ STI $125:

-Manual tire changer (for you hard cores). New (there's no way I'm man enough) $50:

-Chevy small block 4 bolt main $75:

VW 16V head core. Been through a fire, does not spin freely. FREE

Subaru Impreza FWD trans $100:

BRAND NEW tri-fuel 6000W generator. It's never been fired. $1200:

Need scaffolding? $100 per section:

And some stuff without pics:

-Geo Metro head- $75

-Engine stand (like new)- $50

-Pair Justy seats- good cond- $25

-WRX 2.0L Turbo motor- complete, needs timing belt, and a couple of valves- $300

-Set of used F-250 shocks- They've still got life in them- FREE if you want them

-'98 Impreza passenger door- newly painted white- $25

-Set of Beige seats from an Eddie Bauer edition Bronco (OJ, anyone?)- $150 for all of them

-2001 WRX rear seat- excellent condition- black with black/blue insert- $40

-(2) Hoosier R6 205/50/Z15 VG condition- $100

-(4) RA1 205/50/Z15 VG condition- $200

-(4) YOKO A-008R- 205/60/13- VG condition- $150

-(4) Hoosier R-3S03 205/60/Z15- VG condition- $175

-Rosewood flooring- about 150 SF- $100

That should get you started!!

Wow, I rescued that thing from a field years and years ago. Wish I could afford to get it back and fix it up again.

Yeah, it's passed through a few hands. The drivetrain I had for it is going into something else.

Hmmm...wish there was a cheap way to get that flooring up here to the IL/IN border. I've got a building I could use that in!

Find a Challenger coming your way in Oct- I'll give it to them in FL.

The Northstar and the Yugo are sold. The most exciting part is, they are sold to a Challenger who intends to marry them to each other, and promised me a ride!

I need to change my britches just thinking about it!

You and I BOTH owe the new owner and the ENTIRE GRM community an apology on that one before he even starts building!

That Northstar has probably been touched by more GRM members than any other project... wasn't that yours, Josh?

Pauls, then mine, then Pauls, now?. Fueled many a GRMers fantasy's along the way.

Mine first (still in the car)- I bought it in NJ and transported the car to GA, Then Problem Addict entered the car in the Challenge (though I still owned it) where I tried to sell it. We called it the Ratty Caddy, and raced it in full Caddy street trim (though the hood was chained shut, and it sported a Subaru bumper core welded on the front with off-road lights mounted on top). Great moment on the autocross course with 6 helmeted bobbleheads inside cranking the stereo while running the course. Josh waited 'till the car returned to GA to buy it, so he could drive it back to FL to strip it, test fit the N* in an N600, tried for months to sell it, I finally couldn't resist it, bought it back (because I had the perfect Yugo for it), then finally accepted the reality that I was no better than Josh (at least he turned a wrench on it), and I now offer it to another GRM legend to make mayhem with.

Its a legend.

The funny thing is Cadillac put a really performance oriented traction control on that thing. That big honkin luxury car would lift the whole front end, light up the tires and the computer would just slightly manipulate the ignition so everything was nice and cushy while you smoked your tires through the top of first gear and the bottom of second. The northstar has sooo much potential to be just downright Nasty in a deserving chassis. If its going in the middle of a Yugo someone better install some wheelie bars.,

Unfortunately, I don't know of anyone from either Indy or Chicago who's going. :-(

PM sent.

And thank you to whomever bought that Yugo and saved me the sleepless nights of thinking about it. :)

Are the Fiat wheels still available? How about some of the Fiat Yugo stuff? I have both a injected and a carbed engine that are waiting to be hopped up.

Fiat wheels still available.

What do you need?

A bit on those wheels for anyone interested. They are REAL chromadora CD-30s not the reproductions.

Magnesium alloy, they weigh about 8lbs each. Incredibly light wheels for a fiat/yugo application and very rare.

SVreX, you might even want to offer those up over at Mirafiori.com to the fiat crowd.

Thank you JThw8- you've got more details than I.

I will offer them to Mirafiori if no GRMers want them.

Also the rims should fit MG midgets..

Ninja Edit. The above statement is INCORRECT. They WILL NOT FIT MG midgets. I need to club my cars previous Owner for Putting 4x98 wheels on it.

I'll take the wheels if you will ship. I have a bunch of stock stuff for both engines, I need performance stuff - any cams or heads?

MG Midgets are 4x98?

Nope.. Apparently not..

I thought they were, but I checked and they are 4x4 so my statement about them fitting midgets is false. My midget had Fiat rims on it, when I bought it, and I think the rims that it had on it are marked 4x98 on the back, but apparently they are not the right size.

So these wheels WILL NOT fit an MG Midget. My bad.

Yes. It has gained the tow bar and rally lights. Been a good car. I've put trouble free 20,000 miles on it.
