I haven't been a member here very long, but I've always loved the magazine, and a friend suggested I post this up for all you car nerds.
The time has come to offer up my project car, a highly modified 1972 MGB Roadster. I had plans to do an extensive restoration and upgrade the engine, transmission, and suspension, then use it as a street/track car, but a new project has come my way and I would like to pass this one on.
The good:
-The car has had countless hours of bodywork done to widen the front and rear fenders
-Custom running boards to join the flares together
-The front bumper and grille area are also one-off
-All bodywork is STEEL, no crappy fiberglass or plastic
-Aforementioned bodywork makes this a truly unique, one-of-a-kind car that will be stunning after a restoration
-Bright red paint shines up very nicely
-Engine is free and turns over
-Runs if you pour gas into the carb
-Vintage Cobra alloy wheels
-Vintage luggage rack on trunk lid
The bad:
-Car has been sitting for several years now
-Top is trashed (I do have a tonneau-style top for it that needs new zippers that will be included with the sale)
-Interior is pretty well shot from rain damage/sitting
-Brake system needs to be gone through
-Fuel system needs to be gone through, as gas does not get to the carb
-Transmission/clutch are frozen, will need rebuild or replacement
-Front floor footwells are rusted, will need to be patched/replaced
-Trunk lid is dented
-Will need a respray when you finish everything
I bought the car a year and a half ago from Jason at East Coast Collision and Restoration in Mt. Holly, but the individual/shop that initially did the bodywork is unknown.
The car is currently in storage in Georgia, VT, where it can stay for the remainder of the season with a deposit, or come pick it up and haul it away now.

Asking $2000 for this unique little Brit, but as always, CASH TALKS, I'm willing to make a deal.

Haha yeah, I was going to redo the front end, it's actually my least part about the work done. Certainly interesting though. Cheers!
Post-Christmas bump
Price dropped to $1900, or make an offer!
Tell me about the Power Wagon...
In reply to Woody:
That belonged to Jason, from whom I bought the Roadster. He's since cleared out most of the the old vehicles from the area, so my guess is it's gone. Sorry.

It's hard to find even a basket case Power Wagon for challenge money these days. From the looks of that pic, it might be worth more than the B.
Good luck with the MG. Not my cup of tea, but it appears to have potential.

You might give him a call to check, I don't have his number anymore, but a google search of East Coast Collision and Restoration in Mt. Holly, VT should help.

Thanks for the help Paranoid, I'm just as surprised I still have this.
