I had lunch with a friend & his co-worker today. The co-worker was telling me about a car he's selling that sounded right up you guys(and gals)alley.
It's an '80s fox-body Capri that's been back-halfed with a 4-link and coilovers, and has a cage. He's also including a 1969 429, 4bbl intake, headers, C6 trans, fuel cell, and some other bits. Basically, he said you need to completely wire the car, find a carb & driveshaft, and do a few things to the chassis - he said the frame needs boxed behind the axle, since the floors have been cutout he said something about a tube tying the rockers together to meet NHRA spec, and the way the rollcage is built it kind of obscures your vision of the tree.
I have not seen this car & don't have any pics, but I could get you in touch with the seller. It's located in central Indiana & he wants $1500 for it. The seller seems like a good guy from the 2-times I've met him, and our mutual friend talks highly of him.
