I have been offered an inside deal on a project truck from a family member. It's an early 90s S10 (I don't know the exact year) with a 4.3 and a 5 speed. The truck ran when it was taken apart 3ish years ago. I have seen the truck recently, but haven't seen it since I've decided to try to enter it in the challenge. I'm proposing a FMV of $1200.

The good:

-the front suspension has been "gone through".  It is lowered, has new ball joints, and tubular upper a arms.

- the truck ran before it was taken apart.

- there are some decent parts included

- was offered to me for $500

- I don't think it's missing any body parts besides.

The bad:

- rusty floors, not Flintstone level, but there are some pinholes

- zero interior

- was parked a few years ago and currently won't start

- body is pretty rough

- currently has no front brakes.

Parts included:

Reman'd four piston calipers and new rotors

Junkyard blazer sway bars

Blazer fuel tank with pump

A junkyard rear diff

A set of 4 used 18" wheels from a 5th Gen v6 Camaro

There is a bed, but these pictures came from a senior citizen with a smart phone, so I can't be too picky. Overall I'm pretty proud of him, but if you'd like to see anything else specific let me know and I will try to get them.

$1,200 is too much. No need to beat yourself up with the FMV. That truck needs a lot of assembly, etc. I'd go with the offered for $500 price.

I would say $500 as well, they come up in that price range on FBM and CL every once in awhile

Before reading the responses and just seeing the pics, 500$ is what came to mind.

short of someone really intent on saving it, that thing is scrap metal.  Or a cool challenge candidate.

$500 works for me

Not that my opinion counts here, but I have a running '94 S10 plow pig that I would be thrilled if someone offered $500.  Go for it.

Yeah $500 is the price.

I bought this one for $700 yesterday.  Clean title, no rust.  Already lowered with spindles, springs and blocks.

Mine came with no motor, but conveniently I happen to have a t56 and an LT1 in my garage.
