Hey y'all. My son Brendan and I will be participating in this year's 2K challenge. Please help with the following:

1) FMV for Porsche 924 Koni shocks (image attached) from a FB group. The deal was pay for shipping and they're mine. Shipping was $15. Shocks look like they're "worth" $15.... Please advise.

2) I want to make sure our recoup is legit. The car came with 3 front seats + rear seats. I used 3 eBay "sold items" to document the pricing I am using for recoup. Is this right?

Thanks, Brian

Welcome!

1. Did you save a screen shot of the ad? If yes, you don't need FMV.

2. You use the actual price for items you sold. If you didn't sell them, but are removing and claiming their FMV, then yes I suppose the way you proposed is correct.

1. $15 is the price including shipping you paid for the shocks. FMV not applicable.

2. For sold listings, don't forget to deduct the cost to ship from the sold price, if seller paid shipping in those past sales. But yes that's the correct way to do it. Well, the more correct way is to actually sell them, but that's the 2nd best way.

Thanks!! I do have a screenshot for the shocks. $15 it is. Much appreciated for the feedback on that. For the seats, I kept them and am claiming the FMV.
