Someone needs to drag this 68 Renault R10 out of my driveway.
The pic is from when it was rescued a few years ago.
The car ran and drove to where it is parked. The next time I started it up the brakes were frozen. With the Fiat project, switching jobs, the passing of my wife and general major life changes/upheaval I just want it gone.
Here is my friends blog entry on it before I bought it from him.

I gutted the interior to remove 20lbs of mouse crap but have otherwise let it sit.
50$ or best offer. Located in Eugene, Oregon. It comes with new caliper seals, tail light lenses and brake pads in a box.
I would love to see it returned to the road or better yet a badass challenge car.

I didn't know your wife passed away. I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope you are pulling through all right.
Why does it have to be on the other side of the country (aka 2,467 miles from me)?!?!?! I absolutely love those old odd French cars.
There's an amusing LSx swap there.
I wonder what Mrs. J will say tonight when I ask her if she wants a small, old, odd, French 4-door as our next autocross car?

Just tell her "C'mon......its only $50. How much fun could you have otherwise with only $50" [/enabling]
I am trying to avoid putting this on craigslist since I really don't want it to be scrapped.
About 20 years ago Ransom and I devised the "Moral imperative" clause to vehicle purchases wherein the need to save a car from its current circumstances is greater than the actual desire to own it. If they were under a certain price point you could buy them without guilt citing Moral imperative.
That is kind of how I ended up with it and that is why I am pretty much giving it away for beer money.
I will warn everyone that rear engine Renault parts suppliers in the US are an odd bunch and want a lot of money for their poorly inventoried goods. This one needs to be modified with a devil may care attitude about parts substitutions.

Powered by corvair option?
If you were in indiana, I'd have bought this 3 hrs ago.....
Rear engined you say? Hmmm... Porsche 914 power? Subie power ala Wartburg?
It's going to be a fun evening...
OK how about this. This car is free to anyone who won't scrap it.
Who can resist that?
I wonder how long I can store it at work before they notice?

This seems like a familiar concept. Were it not for the geographical limitations I would definitely do this. I still haven't popped my french car cherry.

Be careful, people will tell you what you want to hear. Don't ask me how I know...

Which is why it isn't on craigslist......yet
Looking at a 63 Falcon futura this afternoon and I need the room.
Damn, $50, I would even buy that, but being on the other side of the country is keeping that from happening.
I know a good Renault mechanic.
This is a good direct swap for the EFI motor out of the Reliance. You can still find those cars in the junk yards.
that thing is so kewl... think of all the mad swaps you could do on it...

Jav.... you HAVE to save this.
I'm also very sorry to hear about the circumstances and wish the OP luck.
The Javelin's old parking spot behind the fence is empty. I could store it for you maybe?

That's not the only place you need to be concerned about that, unfortunately. It happened to me with someone here.
As far as this car goes, I'd be grabbing it if it wasn't a world away.

People, people, someone save this. Don't make me drive all the way to OR to get this, 'cause I will do just that!
