Not my car, but I do know the owner.
The story is that he was driving it at highway speed and threw the serpentine belt. He didn't realize it until it overheated. He stopped the car when it started steaming.
Had it towed to a mechanic, who told him it needed $2000 work of engine work.
Went back and picked up the car- drove it onto a tow dolly.
Has been sitting in his backyard ever since (2 years or so). Now he'd like it gone.
I'm thinking the mechanic was a jackleg who didn't know squat.
I'd say there is a pretty good chance the car will fire up with no issues, maybe needs head work.
4 door, body's not bad, located in Americus, GA. Only other issue is the power windows don't work.
If anyone's interested (and willing to come to Americus to get it), I'd be willing to do a bit more legwork and get more info..
