Go-Kart For Sale

Since I'm old enough to autocross a real car now, we are selling the kart. This is the same kart that was in the magazine a few years ago.

Up for sale is a 1998 Top Kart. This kart has been autocrossed for about 7 years, and is set up for SCCA’s Formula Junior program. It has a Yamaha KT100 that has been balanced and blueprinted. Everything is in good shape, and the tires have plenty of tread on them.

Includes

Starter with good battery- Extra set of wheels (include old tires, good for practice)- Kart cover- Notes- Stopwatch -Tire gauge -Assorted manuals -Extra smaller carburetor with mounting hardware (required for some series) -Chain link removal tool -Front spoiler brackets -Two front spoilers, one old and one new -Variety of gears -Two extra spark plugs -Clutch puller tool, clutch bushing lapping compound -A few carb rebuild kits -Extra new tie rod -Safety wire- Duct tape -Chassis brace (the rest are on the kart, used to adjust suspension) -Brake bleeder (karts don’t have fluid reservoirs, hence the need for this) -Assorted weights for ballast -Assorted extra seat mounting hardware -Assorted extra brake hardware -Two neck-braces -Two karting jackets- Shoei Helmet Gloves -Two torso pads- Toolbox to hold it all -Pedal covers -Assorted chemicals, including clutch lube, carb cleaner, air filter oil, chain lube, brake fluid, etc.

Seriously though, if come May and it still isn't sold, you could try talking your dad into bringing it to Carlisle. Of course he should bring you as well.

Trade for a 1962 Tempest LeMans? It would make a good car for the magazine. It's solid but ugly, and has a freshly rebuilt engine.

Are you old enough to race a TaG or 125 shifter kart? Cars are boring compared to them.
