Does it include the fiberglass body, or just the chassis?

No all I have is the chassis. It would make a good challenge car starter.

Except for the shocks and a few brake peices that is what's left.

Hello, I'm that guy that contacted you. Have had a Family Medical issue come up since we talked. Things are better but it's highly unlikely that I will be able to come pick it up anytime soon.
Good luck with Sale hope it goes to someone who can use it.

Wow! Things didn't go to well for that car in its post magazine life.

If it isn't sold by the time you need it you can have it for the price you offered. I had some family issues come up last year when I was buy it. Luckily the seller waited on me to get that straighten out so I could buy it. I hope everyone is doing better now. Chad

I bet Denny Crabill is crying.

Sad - That was one of the cooler project cars the magazine has seen.

So what happened here? I seem to recall it was sold to someone (the OP?) who was planning on hillclimbing it, didn't that pan out?

why wasn't this kept whole? doesn't seem like the other pieces parts would be worth more individually than the whole car...

It wasn't a safe car from what I understand. Very cool ideal and the fab work is awesome, but no one could drive it. Chad

I recall the handling being descripbed as "Evil, and not in a good way." The buyer sorted some of the handling issues, but perhaps not all. Maybe why it is a good land speed candidate, since they don't want to turn left or right, only go forward. Still, if I had a storage solution better than a tarp, I would be putting an order forth now. Good luck with sale.

The guy down here that bought it described it as, "Tries to kill you every time you fire the engine." I don't think he wanted to drive it up a mountain. It had some wicked handling issues.

As I recall it went through several very capable hands in an attempt to make it work, two of which I know and if they couldn't make it turn than I doubt it was going to happen easily. Best if luck on the sale. I don't have the space or the time to make it more than yard art. I do hope it gets a new lease on life.

Anyone headed from that area towards central il? The big problem I have is that I have 0 vacation left after the family medical issues. If it could get something day tripable from champaign il I would be into it.

Otherwise I encourage someone else to do something cool with it. I had visions of combining this with the infamous $1 subaru 360 for challenge and other domination.

IF someone is interested in the Bezerkeley body (and some original car parts, wiring, etc.) , let Chad know... he knows where it is at and it is for sale ...quite reasonable price. Handling issues can be fixed with time and effort. The differential is the key to success and will require more time and money in development.

I think the easiest way to make it work is put a straight axle in the back. Turn the motor sideways and run a driveshaft to the back. Just like a legend car does it. That should fix about 90% of the problems. If I didn't already have a project I would do it. Chad

The issue is to do that you need to buy the body and start over. The chassis is made specificaly for FWD with the driver in the center, no way to convert that chassis to RWD. Well, that's not true, you can convert anything, from anything, into anything, but it would be much easier to start over.

Standing here looking at the chassis, I think it would be easy to covert. Even using the body that was on it. Chad

if your car would rather roll than slide, you're doing it wrong.
