I tried counting the pennies under my bed last night but I guess I'm too broke unless he would trade for two 3d printers.

The thought process of "that's so cheap I HAVE to buy it now and I'll figure out what to do with it later" is how I ended up with a giant E-350 conversion van hogging up space in my mother's driveway.
For the past year.
I'm still licking my wounds from falling on that grenade... sorry.
In reply to Ian F :
But this one takes up so little space.
Still playing phone tag. Buddy of mine on FB claims he knows the seller. I replied "then tell him to return my call"

Tell me more about this cheap E350.... I'm all ears.
Finally talked to seller and have a time scheduled to check it out. Seller claims one spun rod bearing.
In reply to Indy-Guy :
Build thread is here although life and work have conspired to limit what I've done to it in too long.
In reply to Ian F :
I hate to break it to you, but no price would convince me that I had to buy an e350 van. This kei car thing is another story entirely.
In reply to dculberson :
When you've been looking for something for 20+ years... and the only examples you've found for sale were way out of your price range, when you do stumble across one for a price that seems incredible, then you sometimes think irrationally.
Kei cars don't really appeal to me. Maybe because I've already owned the "original" kei car - a classic Mini.

If you think a Mini is the "original" anything of a class of vehicles that has exististed since 1949, I would say you are more than a little confused about Kei cars and their history...
Cooter
Please get this.
So it needs a crank or regrind and some bearings, worst case maybe a rod.
I really like where this is going.

You misspelled that

True. But it doesn't change the fact I don't care.
I definitely want this, but don't know if I'd really fit into this little thing. Also how do I get a non running car from Chicago to MA?

I know it's not the same car, but Flynlow brought his Cappucino to my house to swap test drives in my E46. He's a normal sized guy and I'm 5'-9" and about 275. We both fit in the Capuccino at the same time, well enough to be comfortable. Unless you're giant, I don't think you'd have trouble fitting in this.
As shown it fits in a Uhaul flatbed. Fly to Chicago, rent truck, tow home. That will add what, $400 to the price, tops? Or look into car shipping. Even if they have to push it onto and off of the truck, it weighs half of what a regular car weighs.

If that is the case, you sure spend a lot of time posting in threads you don't care about.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm a self-enabler, however.
Supposed to get confirmation of the address later today and check it out, most likely in the rain. I sure hope the innards to this thing aren't blown apart all over a cluttered garage- that is my trademark.
Conversation with d00d last night once I finally got a hold of him.
I'd like to check out the car. When can I do that?
"Uh, tomorrow at 5 would be good"
Okay, can I get an address?
"Call or text me tomorrow"
I had a difficult time getting in touch with you. When is a good time for that?
"4pm. I'll get right back to you"
I sent a text asking for an address at 3:58. It is now almost 5...
Dear lord I'm glad I'm broke... the local postmaster wouldn't know what to do with that thing if I showed up to deliver mail with it.

There are a lot of things I find entertaining, but I don't really care about.
You'll need to log in to post.
