Here's a cool email I just got: RADwood knows about the $2000 Challenge and is willing to officially let us call the RADwood class, well, the RADwood class.

Yeah, that's right: All the enthusiasm about it and we hadn't even gotten the official "okay" from them. But now we have it, and we're also talking about having some more RADwood magic join us in Gainesville next year.

Stay tuned. But next year's $2000 Challenge is going to be RAD!

I figured those guys would be on board with this. They're a good crew. There's an awful lot of overlap between their audience and GRM's, so it makes sense for you to work together.

I think anyone who can find a genuine Koenig wide body anything from the 80's should be allowed to enter budget cap free.  Automatic win give to a Merc or 512BB though.

Some of the cars brought up in this thread and the other Radwood thread lead me to believe 80% of the people on this board have no idea what radwood is about.

The terrible truck is still WELL under challenge budget.

I have a number of friends that have always been interested in running in the challenge but already have built cars that would not be on budget.  These happen to be cool 80/90s cars (celica alltracs, mr2s, rx7s, 240sx, 944s, XR4Ti golf Sentra etc.).  Is there a limit on how many Exhibition cars you allow each year?  As a group we are targeting 7 legit challenge cars and 8 exhibition cars (including a pass challenge car...all of which would be 80/90s cars)

I think generally they prefer exhibition cars to be attempts at staying inside the challenge budget rules that failed, not brought with the intent of being in exhibition, but I could be wrong.

I keep finding 80s/90s cars for sale near me that would be fun to build, but have to remind myself to finish other projects first.  Also hoping I can find a 350TBI truck cheap next spring, so the S10 can show up in all its early nineties glory.
