Sadly, no pics.
oops..meant to post that too. Thanks. I've got an email in asking for pictures. They're local to me so I may be able to check it out for anyone as well.
Please have a look at it for me. I am very interested. If you could I will PM you my email address, and you can forward the pics to me.
Thanks.
I spoke with the seller last night, and he is sending me pics today,or so he says. Sounds like a cool guy with quite the collection of odd cars. The car sounds like the body is solid, but it is running an 84 12A,and RX-7 trans. Not the greatest combo for the heavy Cosmo, but that can be fixed. He kept saying it was running a two-barrel,but when I asked what from he never answered,so I really have no idea what it is. I am interested in the car however, and if the body is solid as he says I will try like heck to get to MI,and drive it home(crazy I know).
Chris
If anyone buys this car, I have parts- can contact me bha57@yahoo.com----Bud
Wow, now I am seeing these RX5 Cosmos more often. I also have two complete 1976 Mazda Cosmos that were restored and driven up until about 18 years ago before I moved to Hawaii and back. Sadly, since my last red-light whiplash accident left me unable to work on them, they are deteriorating and I am physically unable to preserve or restore them.
They would make great project cars as they will not run now. One was set up for race and the other is stock. Both 13B engines are easily rebuilt.
I am brand new here and am wondering what is the best way to sell them? Mazda car clubs or craigslist?

List them here if they are under 2009 (I can dream) or in the classifieds if they are over.
Oooffff, sorry to hear about the whiplash. I know it took my dad a couple of years to be back after her was hit at a red light by a bus.

Under 2009 dollars ?
Yes, the pair is well under that price; they need real work although they are mostly original, complete and with very little bodywork needed (they are stored in the California high desert). The 13Bs should both be rebuilt although they had under 80K miles on them when i retired them.
I figure that someone would want two Cosmos as they are very rare; one for a perfect car and one for parts. Or if they want a big project; two cars - one for road and one for track [it got pretty close to 300 hp with a big carb when it was running great].
As to whiplash; i ended up with herniated neck disks. Auto mechanics is not in my future any longer. After the first red light accident, i had two more - the last two (2000 and 2007), i was stopped at the same signal when a truck hit me from behind.
i will post an ad here in the next few days; i need to take some recent pics.

But i did get your email. You should have a response. Thanks.
Curse you west coast people! Even though you are on the other side of the country can I see the pics when you have them so I can dream?
Wow same red light. That's crazy. I have a couple of bad disks in my back that flare up every now and a again if I don't stretch or exercise for a while. I hear you, the pain is unbelievable and I usually can't move for a couple of days. Thankfully some preventative medicine keeps me moving. Welcome, good luck with the sale and hope some relief comes to you soon.
FYI - I never heard back from the guy other in the original ad other than he'd send me pictures. Never did. Gotta love people who keep their word
Same happened to me,but I actually did speak with him. No pics though.

Yep. First in downtown Honolulu - by a city bus. Then back in SoCal, rearended by a truck at the same red light that another truck hit me 6 years later
Accupuncture by a master kept me from seeking surgery; i am OK as long as i don't do heavy work
i am not sure how to link images. Here is a pic of each of my cars from a 'for sale' thread on my own forum and site. i hope it is OK to link like this They are still dirty as i just wiped them down and have not done any cleaning.
