Very cool! I had one of those back in college in '93, '81 Celica GT 5spd coupe except it was light blue in color. It was the first car I bought with my own money, $500. :)

That looks just like our '06 BABE Rally car. Awesome car! How the heck do you crack a piston in one of these? With normal driving, it's like trying to crack an anvil with a plastic spoon. We only paid $250 for ours from a guy in Jersey. Except for a couple of spots near the back window, there was almost no rust...and the paint was original! It would still shine up nice, but we let it haze for a nice BABE look.

I'd be all over that, if I could find a place to swap the engine... Good thing it's so far away. I don't know how he cracked a piston, AFAIK the 22R was indestructible

I don't know about bottom ends, but the 6ME in my same vintage Supra blew headgaskets like bubblegum bubbles and cracked the head on more than one occasions.
