Hey everyone, quick question: the current rule states this: "Over budget entries may use pro drivers for instruction, but these runs will not be scored."
Just for clarification:
A) Does this mean that the pro driver run counts as one run for the car, but is NOT scored,
OR
B) Does it mean that the pro driver run doesn't count against the car in addition to it not being scored?
In other words, if I let a pro driver have a run, does that count as one of my runs in addition to not being scored?
May be a new rule (being in green suggests that it is), in previous years pro driver runs were the same for over-budget and under-budget cars. It's not clear to me whether A or B is true either...
My opinion is to follow the rule for all of the autocross events I've attended. Instructor driven runs do not count against your total.

I assume the starter would let the timing team know? Is there a preference for pro runs to be done after all counted runs are finished?

"do not count against your total." so an over-budget car kinda gets unlimited runs as long as there's a pro driver at the wheel? seems like a good opportunity for an under-budget driver to get some recon time in the passenger seat.
If you ask for more than one or two runs the pro drivers are going to say something like "dude, I've got tables. Cheap, fast tables."
So it looks like most folks are leaning toward Option B, something like this:

This is official. Limit subject to change based on pro driver availability. Their focus will be on under-budget cars.
If there's a passenger seat and proper belts, are passengers allowed in the autocross? specifically asking about $2000 cars.
Yes, here's the relevant passage of the rules:
All drivers shall have a valid state-issued driver’s license and be at least 16 years of age. All passengers shall be at least 16 years of age. Only one passenger per run will be allowed. Passengers are not allowed during drag runs faster than 14.0 seconds. All drivers shall wear a GRM-issued driver wristband for the duration of the competition.
