I'm getting pretty heavy into late-model LSx based motors, and facing an upcoming move I see no reason to drag around any of the traditional SBC stuff I have in the shop. Would like to sell the whole works in one lot, might consider parting things out for the right price. Shipping is expensive, but will deliver within 200 miles of 29671 (That includes Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville, and Savannah) or along the route between here and eastern SD (will consider changing route for the right $) for not a lot of gas $. Would like to get $350 for the following, but will take offers if you show up in-person with cash:
-1978 Chevy Suburban 350 engine, 150k or so, ran good and had good compression but puffed smoke on start-up, probably valve stem seals, 2-bolt main to the best of my knowledge, no intake but should have most of the brackets and such for the acessories
-1985 or 86 Corvette L98 350, under 100k but sat long enough to lock up, probably 2-bolt main but I haven't checked, all the TPI parts sold
-late 70's 400 small block heads with recent new valves and such, ready to run
-1984 Corvette Crossfire intake manifold, was planning on mounting a pair of carbs on it or using it with a pair of turbos, think I even have a sheet of 1/4" or 3/8" aluminum to make a custom top out of somewhere
-2 full gasket sets, some accessories for the front of the motors, exhaust manifolds, manual trans flywheels (should have 158 and 163 with clutches) and bell-housing, auto trans flex-plates, HEI distributor, starters, etc...
Should be enough there to bolt the 400 heads on the suburban motor and add intake and run it, or enough certainly to rebuild a couple of 350's. Might consider parting with a Corvette 4+3 tras as well, if someone wants to go that direction, will have to think about a price. Will also throw in a rebuilt by GM (but modified, one bolt hole cut off for mounting behind an adapter on my big-block Dodge) 4WD 700R4 with transfer case for another $200. Also have a couple of Marine out drive bell housings and mid-plates for race engine use, if they would do you any good.
Trades also considered, let me know what you have. Show up at my door, help me load it up in your truck, and you won't leave disappointed, price or parts, I promise. And for a GRMer I'll toss in a giant, oversized, slow spooling, crazy-hp turbocharger I happen to have from a Mack Truck. You know, just in case....
