So I was thinking about this the last day or so. IIRC we had about 20 people at max in a 10x15 foot area last year. Not exactly social distancing standards. Building a bar big enough for 6 feet between us might be a bit much. My next thought was individual chairs with a side table for drinks spaced 6 feet apart. Cheapest I could find was $10 each on the chairs and tables. I love you guys but dropping $400 on Stampie's bar isn't exactly what I'd like to do with my cash. How would you guys feel about bring your own chair/table? I'd grab some for those that can't. We can put down tape Xs every 6 feet and while taking up some additional space at least we can enjoy each other for a bit. Thoughts?
Don't people bring chairs anyway?

I have my own stuff, I'm in.

Some bring for spectating at the track but normally my bar is bar height. I guess because it's a "bar".

Haha. That's what all the recalled jackstands are for!
I think this is a great idea-can definitely bring a chair and side table.
Distancing is gonna be tough. If all you had were 4 people, they'd be spread out over 18'. Not exactly conversational distance...
Especially when drinking.
I'm gonna suggest no chairs. Encourage people to keep moving.
It sucks.
In reply to SVreX (Forum Supporter) :
Nah 4 people could be at the corners of a 6 foot square
In reply to Patrick (Forum Supporter) :
Right, but 20 people would make a circle 38' in diameter.
In reply to SVreX (Forum Supporter) :
Bring scaffolding, we'll go vertical with it. Stampie's Borg cube.
(Ive been doing 6' conversations. It's further than people realize, even in a quiet room)
5 people in a circle is 9 1/2' diameter.
If we are gonna take it seriously, I think you are gonna have to limit the number of people.

We could bring a shovel and go down instead of up.

Meh, they say alcohol kills Crayola. I've not known stampies bar to be dry.

Face shields and straws.
Problem solved.
Or we could all wear our helmets...
What about GRM speed dating? Two lines, 6ft apart, a few minutes to catch up with whoever is across from you and then everyone shifts over by one and starts again?
Tables. No chairs.
4' dia plywood table tops at standing bar height. 3 or 4 of them. Put a sign on each, "Only 4 Patrons".
That will keep everyone standing at about the right distance. Then encourage folks to move on after half an hour.

I can't tell if this is a fantastic idea or exactly how to create a super-spreader event?
In reply to CrustyRedXpress (Forum Supporter) :
Both?
Have a fan moving the air away from the crowd, down into the table maybe so the air goes out? Keep the viral load blowing off into the woods. Drink something with high alcohol content. All good.
I dunno joshua, i'm not into viral load blowing

I like this idea but I'm thinking more like 6 of them. That would take up three parking spaces but "serve" 24 people.
