I realize that its sitting in some taller grass and probably sunk a bit in the mud, but dang. I like how low it sits!
Not a clue. Ask Angry, he probably knows.
Edit: Looking at the pictures, the body looks pretty good. No rust under the hood. Mechanics are easy as long as you can find the parts. I don't think the you pull it is going to help much.
parts are out there. typical rust areas are floorboards, base of windshield, front lower valence, eyebrows above outboard headlights, front suspension crossmember, and lower front fenders behind wheel openings. all of those areas visible in this ad look OK, but i'd be afraid of the floors and the front x-mbr -- not that big a deal, as it's a bolt-in part. that spyder dash is worth almost $200 if the gauges work, and if it's a true '64 spyder (identifiable by 40627 in the VIN and 64-0627 on the trim tag) that's just missing the turbo parts, well, it's worth saving.
purchase price plus a grand and it's a driver, if you do all the work yourself.
i'd do black primer above the belt line, leave it as-is below, and grab a set of 17" konig heliums for it -- it's 4x114.3 and can tolerate the typical FWD +40 offset.
huh, not far from maxton. i'm going to look into this one next time i'm over that way. i hope it's still there in october...
