TR7 Challenger?

i picked this car up in a trade because i wanted the engine in it. the car had a turbo buick V6 w/auto trans. overall the car is in fairly good shape but rough in the details. good for drag car or project. (most v8's fit nicely) also great source for parts to restore another tr. the top is OK has one small hole in it but def alot better then many i have seen. dash is pretty good. car has a rollbar bolted in there. all body panels ect. a few spare parts as well. NOTE: since these pics were taken the passenger seat was... dismantled from the top down in an attempt to cleanly remove it from the car (rusty rails wont slide). drivers seat is untouched. some other interior parts were removed but UNDAMAGED. the top w/frame has also been removed but is undamaged. care was taken when removing these parts to sell. never did, still have everything! Car is located in Glen Allen (west end) $750 obo (seriously make an offer!)

I'm curious as to what V8s will "fit nicely"?

OTOH, i want to give one a turbo rotary and make it a TRX 7

I have seen SBC's in TR7's. The BOP 225 V8 fits easily as well (TR8 engine). personally, I have a Buick 231 V6 in mine. more power, and it sits farther aft of the front wheels than any 8 or even the orriginal 4.

One of my buddy's tr-7's was last running a 302 Ford. Pretty clean swap, but he had to back-cut and re-weld the header flanges to clear some stuff. Older Volvo 4-wheels discs were also a pretty easy swap so he could stop the car. The 302 replaced a 12a with Holley 650.

I wish he'd get the car going again, but for some reason he feels that tr-7 + torque = DEATH... Wuss.
