Could have potential...in FL
Someone needs to do this. These things are pretty light and would HAUL with a V8. This one is new enough to have front disks as well. Ford 8.8" is a pretty easy rear end swap as well.

Well, it's a truck, so it would haul without a V8.
Went and looked at it this evening. Very clean truck except both doors are rusted out on the bottom. He has the one wire HEI ready to put on. It doesn't need much to be on the road just not sure how easy it would be to get two doors.
Hey Stampie,
Did he seem flexible on the price? My buddy Rob that came up with me to grab the Volvo is interested.
I wouldn't think there's to much flex there. He said he started asking $1200 cause he wanted $1000 but on the other hand his wife is on him to move it. My gut says $900 would be the very best you could do but I'd be surprised if he went under $950.
car-part.com shows a pair of doors from a 1980 in Wildwood Florida, 100 miles or so away from Jacksonville.
Somebody made those headers a while back. I have a screenshot of a flyer saved on my computer, which of course I'm not at now, but I'll bring it up later.
I'll always do my best to enable someone to go for a Courier/early B1600 / REPU!
Yea there was a tag on one like hooker does. I didn't look closely. They reminded me of the flip sides trick.

I may be buying a REPU this weekend. It's a 77 with a 5 speed, apparently drivetrain all original and the guy even has the original window sticker. This will be my first rotary, so we'll see how it goes. The guy says it runs and drives great.

A coworker I just recently met has this one. He found out I had a bunch of cars and asked if I'd be interested or knew anyone. I'm interested in about anything unique, so we made a deal. As long as it's as described it'll be the next addition to the fleet.
I hope it works out for you. They're such uncommon cars and so cool to see around. Mazdax605 here on the board has ~1.5 too, so i'm sure you could give him a shout if you had any other particular questions.

BWAHAHHAHAHa. Rusted out you say?
You've got to be joking!?
Thanks, Ross in Wisconsin.
When looking at it in person you'd notice bubbling on the outer skin. When opened and looking at the bottom they're both missing about half of the bottom of the inner skin. I've seen worse and it wouldn't bother me much but I was looking at it for someone else and they decided to pass.

That is the truth right there. What part are you from?
In the south, bubbles in the paint mean rusted out. In the north, if there's enough structure in the paint to keep it hanging where there used to be metal, it's mint.
