In reply to 81gtv6:

Good looking out. I think those are a little too far away and I will keep looking for something wider then 5.5" like those.

Those are 4x108?

If so-these were listed in gville a few days ago, I think the tires are 275/40 or something along those lines.

Edit-yep, older ad says 275/40/17

Yes 4x4.125" = 4x108mm

Actually, I think that 108 mm = 4.25"

the bolt pattern is correct for the mustang rims, but they are just too big to fit

That's why God invented body saws and cutoff wheels.

I've got a set of Borbet's from my Audi, I think the offset is too much for you though. I'll dig them out when I get home and shoot you a pic. They have 205 or 215/55's on them now.

LOL. I know it is only a challenge car... but it is a beautiful challenge car. I will keep the suggestion in mind, but for now I will try a more subtle look then rolled out fenders or diy flares...

I would definitely be interested in finding out the dimensions on these.

I REALLY do not have a head for numbers and am not a fitment expert so I can only estimate what will fit and how well. For the record: The car has been lowered about 1.5" front 1" rear and currently rides on 205/60/15x7 +27 mm.

they're 15 X 7 with 205/55 KS EVO's and the et says 35, I don't know if those will work for you. In any event, I'm on LI 50 miles east of NYC and would want at least 300. Might be more than you were looking to spend.

I feel your pain. I will be picking up a Swift GTi this thursday-and yep, it is 4x108. For a split second I tried to figure out how to run that 275/40/17 Mustang setup.

swifts are 4.5" (114.3mm) tons of options. To the op, I have a set of 14x6 924 wheels that are yours for the taking if you want them.

It sounds like they would be ideal, perhaps too much so. I am pretty sure that is more than we can afford, but I will talk to the team accountant tonight...

Thank you for the offer, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, 14" will not fit over the front brakes.

I only wanted to get that because I searched for a year to find them for my CGT, that I still have, and would need to replace them eventually.I actually paid 250 for just the rims plus 75 for the shipping 4 years ago. Now, if you were interested in just borrowing them for the Challenge and then returning them, perhaps we could work out a rental figure that would suit your budget.

Doh-4 x 4 1/2" NOT 4 1/4"

A very clever idea and very generous also. Honestly though, there is no way that I could ever justify that in a challenge budget...

why can't a rental be included in the budget? I would offer the same to anyone else if it would help them. It's not exclusive to you only, so it appears to be in the parameters of the rules.

I can rent almost any car ever made for sub $2010.
