I need a super econo priced Northstar or Aurora powered car.
I had one lined up that was "mine for the taking", the guy left out the fact that he gave the car to someone else last month.
Price and proximity are an object.
What have you seen?

there was one in Belmont for $200...

but $300 for a 4.9 http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/for/1020841613.html
What's "super econo" mean to you...$$$? They are showing up in U-Pulls around here, which means they should be plentiful out there since Caddies are way more common there. Are you looking for the whole powertrain+drivetrain (hubs, axles, trans, wiring, etc.) or just the engine? I'll keep my eyes peeled, I am looking for good deals on N* stuff all the time and because I've got a lot of buddies out there I happen upon deals out there fairly regularly.
Would you prefer a driver for more $$$ (to ensure it's not a head gasket) or are you open to dead ones? If you don't mind fixing the head gasket (or would prefer to if you're some kind of masochist) you can get whole cars for pretty durned cheap.

I don't mind the head gasket cars. As long as they have not ruined the bearings they are fine and a bottle or two of sodium silicate cures em good ;)
