If I had room in my stable and was 100% sure this isn't a scam I'd be calling in sick today and heading to Chicago to buy this. Then I'd either sell it here for a healthy profit or Autocross the piss out of it.
From what I read these engines are red flagged and are not reliable, is it worth the risk at getting a new engine?
That's true but I love the gearbox, pedals, brakes and handling of these cars. An old roommate had an '02 and I was shocked at how "at home" I felt while driving it.
If I were to buy it I'd probably show up with a pre-cat delete header in hand to install before the drive home. 
I love this grill/bumper a lot more than the later, "buck-tooth" one. Maybe seller could be enticed into bringing it to FL.
