"Almost rolling." It's probably priced about right.
It could be a fun place to dump a bunch of Miata or RX7 running gear. I wonder what the engine compartment is like. Do these have a fiberglass monocoque, or a tube frame?
I should probably stop asking questions.
Glass alone will probably put you over budget if that windshield isn't shared with something common.
Wikipedia says it has a 98" wheelbase. What chassis can it be dropped onto? I'm picturing this like a full scale lexan RC car body. LOL. Too bad it can't be painted from the inside.
I've got a Zetec and a rwd 4 speed itchin' for that thing. Anyone want to buy it, drag it to Wisconsin, and then store it for me locally? I've got the hundred bucks.

Miata if you squint a bit. Then 302 low-buck swap and you are in FL this fall.
Edit..take that back. Damn dyslexia and poor memory. Miata is 89" wheelbase. 10" would be hard to make up.
It will almost drop on a C4 chassis.
Engine bay is big enough for a V8. Lotus built some with a rover V8.
If the windshield has been removed, the shell is destroyed. It is bonded to the moncoque body, and part of the structure.
And if you want one, I have a better one.
I gave a running car away.
They have the usual Lotus center sheet metal box chassis similar to an Elan, Europs, early Esprit, or Delorean. The motors were very prone to head gasket oil leaks until a while later. The light weight sheet metal chassis is prone to rust and damage. They ride and drive super well, but power is down (not compared to a Miata), and they are not very fast by today's standards. BOP/Rover V8 is an option Its been done a lot.
