This is the message I got back from the seller:

Seller said: The turbo went out approx. 6 months after my son traded for it; how convenient that there was another turbo in the trunk. While he & a friend were taking it apart, one of the exhaust manifold bolts broke off in the head & they couldn't get to it to fix it so they put it back together hoping the other bolts would be enough. However it wasn't, so it leaks big time between the head & manifold and that causes it to run rough & not idle right. As far as I know that is the only real problem mechanically; body wise: my son had planned to put a after market inner cooler on it that's why he didn't put the bumper back on, however I have the bumper that just needs to be put back on. The extra set of wheels I think are factory Mazda wheels.This car will fly when it is running right.

I can't promise i'll pick it up, but would you be willing to check out the rust situation?

The stud in the head isn't really a big deal. Drilling out the heads for bigger studs is something we often do anyways. Takes a whopping 45 minutes to have the head off of one of these things.

I quite like that.

It's nearly two hours from me too, Ben. That's one of the reasons I didn't go look at it in the first place.

Got a buddy in Ohio that thinks he wants it, but we need eyes on it before we try to limp it up to my place to spend an afternoon taking care of the issues.
