Having owned some 60's Birds I can say that the best use for them IF you must buy one is to drag it to your local swap meet or to a major one and dump that sucker for a bit of profit ASAP. They are great cars for soaking up thousands of dollars and still not being very drivable.

That is exactly what my boss told me last week when I was looking at a cheap running 65. Just getting the power windows, locks and whatever else in the interior correct enough to sell to the kind of person who wants a Tbird of that era can cost a mint.
