1972 Ford LTD, $1500

Location: Nevada, MO

Here she is! I'm moving and would prefer not to take it with, although I will if I can't get a reasonable amount for it. I've only had the car a few months, so I will be as honest as I can with what I do know about it. $1500 seems fair for the condition the car is in, after comparing to other listings. Unless someone tells me my price is way too low, that's what I'm asking.

-77k miles.

-400ci V8

-Owned by older couple (my grandparents) most of its life. Lived out on a farm in Oklahoma ever since I can remember.

-Brand new Duralast battery

-Tires are old but hold air just fine.

-A/C doesn't work, fan turns on, heater should work. I can confirm that.

-Dash lights mysteriously don't turn on. I remember them working last year, so I'm guessing an easy fix. I have zero time to look at it, unfortunately. All other lights work great (headlights, taillights, turn signals, etc)

-Various dents and little rust spots abound. I tried to capture the worst, but don't let the lower quality camera fool you into looking better than it is. It's a 15 foot car, if not more.

-Interior was re-upholstered at some point in its life, looks good.

-Takes a little encouraging to start, see video. Runs fine after starting. Fired right away the last time I drove it last year, so something may need adjusting or cleaning.

Put that on eBay with $1500 as the opening bid. I think you will easily triple that number in a week.

I paid 1200 (asking price 1800) for my 72 4 door with low miles, some docs, excellent drive train, brakes, and interior, but needing paint. What I've found is when they're cheap they sell fast, but when you start asking real money for them, unless they're mint, they sit for awhile.

Also, before anyone starts the "4 doors are worthless war", with these old LTDs you don't see much of a premium for the two doors unless they are big block, bucket seat, console cars, and even then not a big one.
