A friend in high school had one ('73) with a Hooker Header IMSA'ish body kit/V8 swap. It was fast and whooped most everything street racing. I was suprised at its good handling and how docile it was.

What the Hooker Body kit looked like. With the SBC V8 the car still only weighed right at 2,000 pounds.
Built one of those in high school, 350/350 combo made that thing FLY!(at least to a 16yr old mind) So much so dad sold it to a coworker on me.
