Not Mine, etc

I don't know why, but I've wanted one of these for the longest time. I guess it has something to do with the Aspen/Volare being so...dorky yet somehow good weird? I found one in Memphis a month or two ago (Memphis is way closer than Chicago) and it was also a slant six with under 70K miles.
A couple of years ago I stumbled across one of these that was burgundy with fake wood paneling....with a factory 318 4 barrel, air, and a four-speed. Unfortunately, it was even rustier than the average Volaspen.
I have a Volare that somehow ended up with some of a roadrunner package on it in a barn. I inherited it. I haven't seen it in probably 15 years, I'd bet it's long since gone to the ground. I liked that car. Baby blue with a white/blue vinyl interior, T-tops.......
In reply to mndsm:
Roadrunner package was factory option. 318 or 360.
My sisters first car was a 76. Orange with white buckets, factory FM/CB ! radio. auto on floor with console
I've always wanted a 360 Volare Roadrunner, or the sister Dodge Super Coupe Aspen
Holy ... It's Ol' Three Legs!
When I was a wee lass, my mom had one of these in white with rust trim. I was so little I had to sit on TWO Charlotte phone books to see out of the windows. (This was when Charlotte phone books were one huge 3.5" volume containing both white and yellow pages). She traded it in when it refused to start and the gas crisis hit, for a bright red base model Chevette. That was 1978. I was 6.
Cool. Funny the things we remember that we don't remember until we remember them.
