It's time for someone else to take on this project. I bought this car from this forum 6 years ago and have not done a whole lot with it. Built on an early 1979 ('78 build date) no-sunroof straight non-rusted tub (the lightest tub of any of the first-gen cars) that was completely stripped of all undercoating, interior, and sound-deadening.
Fiberglass widebody kit
Airdam
New windshield
The engine has the following modifications:
13b bridgeport with a Weber 48IDA carb on a racingbeat intake
Full racingbeat dual exhaust with stainless muffler. (it's loud)
New starter from a later model (I don't remember the year but it's the lightest starter made)
Braided steel lines from the fuel cell to the carb. The car had two fuel pumps when I got it (one at the tank and one close to the carb) I took the one out under the hood and connected the fuel regulator to the carb with regular fuel line but I have the braided lines.
RCI fuel cell
New holley fuel pump (it's been on the car 5 years, but hardly used)
The suspension is all new, with over $3600 spent on suspension parts including:
Coil-overs
Adjustable Tokico Illumina shocks/struts
Camber plates
New ball joints, bushings, rod ends etc.
Front suspension lowering kit
Panhard rod
Sway bars
Hawk race brake pads, fresh brake fluid
Moroso 1/2" wheel studs
225/45-15 Victoracers
5 Speed
'85 GSL SE disc brake rearend with Torsen diff (like new)
15" x 9" Revolutions
Braided stainless brake, fuel, and oil lines throughout
KIrkey aluminum seat and 5 point harness
Big tach and some other guages.
What does this car need? The 13b smokes after it warms up so I'm guessing it needs oil control rings. The roll bar in the car is a piece of garbage and needs to come out or have a competent cage builder look at it and finish it. All that is in the car is a hoop at this time. The passenger side front fiberglass is needs some attention. Slight surface rust on bottom of doors and underside.
I'm asking $2000.00 and it's located in Kenner, LA near the New Orleans airport. Reply to: deathvalleydiehard AT yahoo.com
